The Texas power grid made it through last week’s frigid weather without a feared outage thanks to battery storage, lots of solar and wind power and other upgrades, Axios reports.

Renewables and batteries have helped make the Texas grid more resilient following a deadly winter storm in 2021. But the work to protect the grid from extreme temperatures is far from over.
