Chinese EV maker BYD blew past Tesla in the fourth quarter to become the world’s biggest seller of all-electric vehicles, the Financial Times reported.

Long expected, BYD’s sales crown underscores again the hard choices governments outside of China may have to make to achieve decarbonization goals. For consumers the competition means lower prices.
