Despite a 50% surge in renewable installation in 2023, the world will fall short of meeting the COP28 goal of tripling capacity by 2030, Forbes reports on recent International Energy Agency findings.

The article cites insufficient funding in developing and emerging countries as a factor, but I believe the slow pace of permitting pace and connecting projects to the grid are also a major factor.
