Russian uranium.

President Biden signed a bill on Monday evening banning Russian imports of enriched uranium in response to the war in Ukraine, The Washington Post reports. There are some waivers allowed through 2028.

Enriched uranium is fuel for nuclear reactors, sources of carbon-free baseload power. The same bill makes $2.7 billion approved in previous legislation available to spur uranium processing in the U.S.
