Indonesia’s air force and its technology agency worked together to perform two rounds of cloud seeding in an attempt to prevent more rain from making deadly floods worse, AP News reports.

In each of two rounds of "cloud seeding," Indonesian officials sprayed one ton of salt into clouds to try to get rain to fall before the clouds reached already devastated regions.
