Pessimism v. Optimism.

The New York Times examines the swing in society’s zeitgeist from climate doom to what some experts quoted describe as overly optimistic and Pollyanna-ish perspective on climate.

I would offer a third way that avoids a black and white construct: climate realism. We have made a lot of progress, and we still have a lot more to do.
