Offshore oil.

The NYT uses impressive visuals (along with text) to illustrate life and work on an offshore oil and gas platform in the Gulf of Mexico, including a required helicopter crash training course.

I took that same helicopter crash survival course in 2014; it was one of the hardest things I have done. Candidly, I'm not sure I could do it again, knowing fully well how hard it was!
