Antora Energy raised $150 million to ramp up its thermal battery technology, The Wall Street Journal reports. Antora converts wind and solar energy to heat as high as 2,750 degrees Fahrenheit.

Industrial processes like making steel, cement and certain chemicals need super high heat, which typically requires burning fossil fuels. This hot rock technology is a promising clean alternative.
