A U.S. government rule requiring purchase of goods and services with little to no carbon emissions associated with their manufacture or delivery could be punted past the election, E&E News reports.

Worth noting this is not the only rule the government is using to reduce its carbon footprint. It has already launched a plan to purchase low-carbon materials for buildings.
