The Energy Department released a new report focused on developing geothermal energy in the U.S. and says new technologies can result in at least 20x the current geothermal energy production by 2050.

I am not surprised to see the DOE drop a spotlight on geothermal during CERAWeek because more than any other clean energy source, geothermal has the potential to draw on oil and gas experience.
