The EU is set to call for the fossil fuel industry to help pay for fighting climate change in poorer countries, as nations prepare for talks this year on a global finance goal, Reuters reported.

Interesting idea (currently in a draft document) that is set to attract both supporters and opponents. The idea: public funding alone won't be sufficient to meet the climate finance goal.
