Battery startup Anthro raised $20 million to build a pilot facility for its tech, which it says tackles the risk of the battery fires that plague lithium-ion batteries, Bloomberg reports.

Anthro replaces the highly flammable liquid electrolyte used in lithium-ion batteries today with its own polymer electrolyte which, critically, can be used in existing battery manufacturing lines.
