Early adopters.

The Washington Post's 'Climate Coach' series says early adopters are critical to the adoption of low-emitting induction stoves, electric vehicles and heat pumps by U.S. households.

This is a great read because it helped me understand how adoption rates for technologies differ. It included a quiz where I found out whether I am an early adopter, a mainstream buyer or a laggard.
