The Securities and Exchange Commission said it will delay its new climate disclosure rules, POLITICO reports, as a number of lawsuits from Republican states and fossil fuel interests have flowed in.

In the letter to the court, the SEC said it would "continue vigorously defending the final rules’ validity in court and looks forward to expeditious resolution of the litigation.” We'll see.
