Los Angelos-based direct air capture startup Avnos announced a $36 million raise led by utility giant NextEra on Tuesday.

DAC is still nascent, but it's interesting to see Avnos get funding for hybrid tech that sucks both CO2 and water from the atmosphere. That could be especially appealing for drought-stricken regions.
