CO2 networks.
The U.S. Energy Department has reopened a funding opportunity to develop transportation networks to connect CO2 from industrial sources, like biofuel-making sites, to storage or where it can be used.
This is a positive development. As DOE notes, the U.S. will need to capture and permanently store approximately 400–1,800 million metric tons of CO2 annually by 2050 to meet its commitments.
