Two Chinese bidders have pulled out of a tender to supply a solar park in Eastern Europe, the latest sign that the EU’s new anti-subsidy powers are having a deterrent effect, the FT reported.

The worry was that Chinese companies receive financial support from Beijing, distorting competition. Solar panels cost half of what they did last year due to oversupply from China, the article notes.
