Boosting nuclear.

U.S. Energy Department announces a $1.5 billion conditional loan to restart the 800-MW Palisades Nuclear Plant in Michigan that was mothballed in 2022.

The Palisades power plant is the first to receive financing under the Inflation Reduction Act's provision to re-power and repurpose energy projects that would avoid, sequester or capture emissions.
