The European Commission announced the winners of its first subsidies auction for the production of renewable hydrogen. There are seven projects, the majority in Spain and Portugal, Euractiv reported.

Impressive results. All bids calculated they could produce hydrogen with a subsidy below €0.5 per kilogram. That’s 10 times lower than the €4.5 per kg of subsidy the state support was capped at.
