The UAE’s head of last year’s COP28 will host a gathering of corporate heads from the tech and fossil fuel industries in the run-up to COP29 this fall, Financial Times reports.

The fossil fuel leaders are working to convince energy-hungry tech companies that their AI power needs can only be met using all available energy sources, including gas and even coal.
